I love helping women thrive! I believe we all have a stewardship to care for our complete selves - mind, body and spirit. By partnering with God, women can create lives filled with abundance, clarity, and acceptance.
I was blinded by the diet culture’s lies about exercise and nutrition. I believed that health was determined by your body size. Thin was healthy.
I have fallen prey to the ideas of scarcity and restriction. I felt like I had to sweat hard and punish myself in order to deserve what I ate.
I signed up for gimmicky health fads because I thought that they were good for me, but with the secret underlying desire - please make me smaller.
I felt starving and found myself binging because I felt I deserved it. I felt depleted instead of energized from exercise.
I know that I am not alone. I know that there are thousands (millions!) of women who have felt and currently feel just like I did.
I also know that we can beat this together. There is a better way.
My Story
Once I discovered the sustainable principles I teach in k-life, I found ways of movement that sustained me and felt restorative.
I started exercising simply because it felt good and I enjoyed it completely unrelated to what I ate. I stopped measuring calories burned.
I stopped thinking about toned arms and I started eating more intuitively - paying attention to feeling full - learned to listen to my body and I enjoyed more peace and calm. It was so refreshing!
My sustainable approach is to introduce small, life-giving adjustments that will transform one’s quality of life over time. I have had to dismantle some long-standing personal beliefs about what it meant to be fit and healthy. Through the concepts and concrete steps that I will lay out in K-Life, I have found vitality and energy and I am so excited to share!
K-Life has helped me learn how to be more mindful and the importance of it. Being able to take even just 5 min every morning to stop and focus on my breath helps (me be more intentional during the day. I have been able to see the difference the days I don't. The mornings I do my days go so much smoother especially when waking up kids for the day.
K-life has been a catalyst for my health journey. I am a self proclaimed Diet Coke connoisseur. It isn’t unusual for me to wake up & go to bed with a soda. In January, I made the commitment to consume 40 oz. of lemon water before eating/drinking anything else. With the exception of travel I have been consistent. I have noticed an improved immune system and improved digestive health. Hoping to master another K-life hack this upcoming year.
What I really appreciate about K-Life is how gentle it is. I feel improved balance, strength and stamina without the stress, pain or inflammation I have experienced with other programs. In the past, I have joined gyms and hired trainers who pushed me to go jogging on treadmills, work on a bunch of machines, go to fitness classes, and as a result, I ended up battling cycles of inflammation and pain. As a person who struggles with auto-immune issues, I feel K-Life is sustainable and a practice I can maintain. I’m invigorated rather than inflamed.
Start feeling confident and thrive in your health!
